1.5.1. Seat belts

That in case of a road accident to protect the driver and passengers, it is necessary to be fastened correctly by seat belts during movement. On forward seats seat belts with the mechanism of a preliminary tension (prednatyazhitel) are established. These belts are used as well as usual seat belts.

Do not put on a humeral part of a belt so that it passed an armpit or settled down in other wrong situation.
By one belt only one person should be fastened. Non-compliance with this rule can be very dangerous.

The seat belt provides the maximum protection if the back of a seat is in strictly vertical situation. When the back is inclined, повы шается danger of that the passenger (driver) will slip out from under a belt, especially at a head-on collision, and will be traumatized from a belt or from blow about the forward panel (an instrument guard) or a seat back.
By seat belts the driver and all adult passengers, and also rather big children who can be fastened correctly belts should be always fastened.
Seat belts should not be overwound.
Do not establish additional elements and do not improve independently a design of system of seat belts. It can lead to that protective properties of seat belts will be weakened.
To reduce probability of receiving serious traumas or death in case of failure, including from a being inflated safety cushion, establish a driver's seat as it is possible further back but at the same time to have the good review and access to a steering wheel, brake and accelerator pedals and other controls of the car.
