1.7.7. Mechanical transmission

Mechanical transmission
The scheme of gear shifting is represented on the handle of the lever of gear shifting. Before transfer of the lever to other situation always completely squeeze out a coupling pedal.

ATTENTION
Do not include a backing when the car moves forward. It can lead to transmission damage.
Do not leave a foot on a coupling pedal during car movement, it can bring to premature wear or coupling damage.

NOTE
If it is difficult to include the first transfer, again squeeze out a coupling pedal. It will facilitate transfer of the lever of gear shifting.

To translate the lever from the provision of the 5th transfer to the provision of a backing («R»), at first transfer the lever to the neutral situation "N", and then in the situation "R" ("backing").

Gear shifting
At gear shifting always act carefully, coordinating speed of the car with engine turns. The correct gear shifting reduces fuel consumption and increases engine service life. Avoid switching on lower transfer at high speed as it can cause excessive increase in number of turns of the engine (the shooter of a tachometer in a red zone) and engine damages.

Economic speeds of movement
Mechanical transmission
For economic driving it is recommended to switch transfers on the speeds specified below. The driver can vary values of speed taking into account a mode of movement and car loading.

Mechanical transmission
The 5th transfer is raising, and at its inclusion frequency of rotation of the engine in comparison with the 4th transfer (decreases at identical speed of the car). For achievement of the maximum economy of fuel use the 5th transfer if it allows a mode of movement of the car.
