1.7.9. Control lamps of AKPP
And – control lamps of position of the lever of the selector. Control lamps on a guard of devices are intended for indication of position of the selector of an automatic transmission, and one of these lamps lights up at ignition key turn in the situation "ON" ("VKL").
In – a control lamp of the position "N" of the lever of the selector. If the control lamp of the position "N" of the lever of the selector blinks when the lever of the selector is in situation "D" ("Movement") or in a cut for a manual mode of gear shifting, it indicates possibility of malfunction of an automatic transmission.
Control lamp of temperature of ATF liquid in an automatic transmission (red, for cars with an automatic transmission)
This lamp lights up, when the ATF liquid temperature in an automatic transmission becomes above the most admissible value. Usually this lamp lights up, when a key in the lock of ignition turn in the situation "ON" ("Incl.") and dies away in some seconds after engine start.
If this lamp lit up, it is necessary to lower speed and to stop the car in a safe place.
Then transfer the selector to the situation "R" ("Parking") and leave the engine idling while the control lamp of temperature of liquid will not go out. When this lamp will go out, the car can be operated as usual. If this control lamp does not go out, the car should be checked at the official dealer of MITSUBISHI.
