2.1.1. Recommendations about service and repair of engines

At check of any malfunction, find the problem reason. If by results of diagnostics need of removal and knot dismantling was defined, perform works on a technique stated in this Management.
If marking or the adjusting labels providing correctness of assembly and facilitating work is put on details, be convinced of their correct orientation at assembly. It will exclude decrease in technical characteristics or appearance deterioration. When dismantling the knot consisting of a large number of details, identical and/or symmetric, have details in a certain sequence in order to avoid their mixing at assembly.
Have removed details in the corresponding sequence.
Define spare parts which will be again used and which are subject to replacement.
If it is necessary to replace bolts, nuts etc., be convinced that the element with the corresponding geometrical parameters is used.
Use in service works instead of the special tool usual, can lead to damage of elements of the car or a personnel travmirovaniye. Therefore at work in which use of the special tool is specified, be convinced that the corresponding special tool is applied.
If removal specified below spare parts is made, they should be replaced with the new.
Cuffs (epiploons).

At replacement of spare parts, use the original spare parts MITSUBISHI.
Be accurate, avoid the passage of gasoline, oil etc. Otherwise, it can get on branch pipes or other rubber products that can lead to decrease in their operational properties.
According to recommendations of this Management put the specified lubricants on the corresponding elements at their assembly and installation.
Before replacement of an element of electric system and before carrying out repair of electric system, be convinced that in order to avoid short circuit it is disconnected (–) the plug of the storage battery.

Before connection or a detachment of the negative plug from the storage battery, be convinced, whether ignition and marker lights as an opposite case, damage of semi-conductor elements is possible is switched off.

If oil or konsistentny greasing gets on the oxygen sensor, it causes deterioration of its working capacity. Close the oxygen sensor a protective cover when drawing an anticorrosive covering or soil.

Preparation of the car for performance of kontrolnodiagnostichesky operations
The term «a car condition before the beginning of control and diagnostic operations» means that the car condition before the beginning of check should correspond to the requirements specified below:
– the temperature of cooling liquid should be 80–90 °C;
– headlights of head light, the electric fan of system of cooling, and all other auxiliary consumers of the electric power should be switched off;
– the mechanical transmission is established in neutral situation;
– it is necessary to establish an automatic transmission in the mode "R".

Engine oils

Long and often repeating contact to mineral oils leads to removal of natural fats from an integument that leads to its drying, irritations and dermatitis. Moreover, the fulfilled oil contains potentially dangerous connections which can cause a skin cancer. The appropriate measures of protection of a skin covering should be undertaken, and also means are necessary for washing of hands.

Recommended precautionary measures
The most effective measures of precaution accepted in practice of maintenance which prevent risk of contact to skin of mineral oils, use of the closed systems of removal of the fulfilled oils and greasings is, where it is possible before utilizing them.
Avoid long and often repeating contact to oils, especially with the fulfilled oils.
At work with oils put on protective clothes, including maslozashchitny gloves.
Do not allow, that working clothes, especially bottom clothes, became impregnated with oils.
Do not put the oiled rags in pockets of working clothes, use working clothes without pockets to avoid it. Do not put on working clothes strongly impregnated with oils and footwear. The working clothes should be erased regularly; it is also necessary for holding separately from daily clothes.
In the presence of danger of hit of oils in eyes, put on eye protections: chemical points or transparent guards for the person; means of hygiene for washing of eyes should be also provided. There should be available a first-aid kit for rendering of the first medical care at cuts or wounds.
Regularly wash hands with soap for complete removal of oils from skin, especially carefully before food (cleaners of hands and a brush also can be useful). After a washing of hands, it is recommended to put the protective cream containing lanolin for restoration of necessary fatty balance of skin. Do not use gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel and solvents for removal of oils from skin.
