2.2.14. Block of cylinders

Assessment of a condition of the block of cylinders
Block of cylinders
Visually check the block of cylinders on lack of the remains of laying or other extraneous particles, damages, a rust and corrosion. At detection of defects eliminate them or replace the block of cylinders.
Check the block of cylinders by means of liquid solution for definition of existence of cracks. If defects are obvious, replace or repair the block of cylinders.

ATTENTION
On models from MKPP do not turn on bolts of fastening "And" a flywheel which are specified in drawing as at their removal the balance of a flywheel will be broken that will lead to emergence of various malfunctions and flywheel damage.

Check of a buckling of the privalochny plane of the block of cylinders
By means of a testing ruler and flat щупа check degree of a buckling of working surfaces of the block of cylinders in the directions shown in drawing. The surface of the block of cylinders should be cleared of extraneous particles.
Standard value: 0,05 mm or are less.
Maximum permissible value: 0,1 mm.
If the buckling is considerable, correct defect to admissible size or replace the block of cylinders. Limiting depth of grinding: 0,20 mm.

ATTENTION
The general thickness of the removed metal from a head of cylinders and the block of cylinders should not exceed in the sum of 0,2 mm.

Height of the block of cylinders (new)
Engine 4G63-7: 290 mm.
Engine 4G64: 290 mm.
Engine 4G69: 284 mm.

Check of a mirror of the cylinder
Check a cylinder mirror on absence of scratches and jamming traces (задиров). If defects are appreciable, chisel till the repair size or replace the block of cylinders.

Gap check between the piston (with a rod assembled) and the cylinder
Block of cylinders
By means of the indicator-nutromera measure diameter of the cylinder and a cylinder konusnost. In the presence of appreciable wear chisel the cylinder till the repair size, replace the piston and piston rings in a set.

Standard value of internal diameter of the cylinder of the engine
4G63-7: 85,00–85,03 mm.
4G64: 86,50–86,53 mm.
4G69: 87,00–87,03 mm.
Maximum permissible konusnost (a deviation from a tsilindrichnost): 0,01 mm.

Rastachivaniye of the cylinder
Block of cylinders
Chisel all four cylinders till one repair size.
Do not chisel only one cylinder.
Till the greatest diameter of the cylinder of the repaired engine, received as a result of measurements, define number of the repair size of pistons.
Number of the repair size of the piston выштампован on the piston bottom.

Repair sizes of the piston and corresponding piston rings
Measure external diameter of the piston intended for use, in a place shown in drawing.
Being based on the measured size of external diameter of the piston, calculate diameter of boring of the cylinder on the following formula: diameter of boring of the cylinder = external diameter of the piston + (a gap between the piston and the cylinder) – 0,02 mm (an allowance on a honingovaniye).
Chisel all cylinders till settlement diameter.

ATTENTION
For prevention of temperature deformations at a rastachivaniye carry out a rastachivaniye of cylinders in the following sequence: No. 2, No. 4, No. 1, No. 3.

Otkhoninguyte cylinders till the final fair size (external diameter of the piston + a gap between the piston and the cylinder).

ATTENTION

Check a gap between the piston and the cylinder.
Gap between the piston and the cylinder: 0,02–0,04 mm.
