2.5.3. Technical operations on the car

Adjustment of base frequency of rotation of idling

NOTE
Nominal frequency of rotation of idling is adjusted at manufacturer by the screw of adjustment of turns of idling (SAS) and, usually, does not demand additional adjustment in use.

If by mistake factory adjustment was broken, there can be a significant increase in frequency of rotation of idling or its falling at inclusion of additional load of the engine (for example, the conditioner compressor). If it occurs, adjustment is made in a way described below.
Before adjustment check that spark plugs, nozzles, a regulator of turns of idling (ISC) are serviceable, and that the compression in cylinders lies in a range from nominal to maximum permissible value, and that the difference of compressions between cylinders does not exceed maximum permissible value.
Before check and adjustment prepare the car for check (warm up the engine to normal temperature of cooling liquid).
Connect MUT-II to the diagnostic socket (16-contact).

NOTE
At connection of MUT-II it is necessary to connect diagnostics conclusion to "weight".

Start the engine and establish idling turns.
Choose No. point 30 from the Actuator test menu (Check of actuation mechanisms) MUT-II tester.

NOTE
It holds a servomotor of a regulator of turns of idling (ISC) on a base mode of idling, as allows to adjust it.

Check frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft on an idling mode.
Nominal rate: 750 ±50 mines-1.

NOTE
On the new car (with run no more than 500 km) frequency of rotation of idling can be less nominal on 20–100 mines-1, but adjustment in this case is not required.

If on the car with run more than 500 km the engine глохнет or too low frequency of rotation of idling, that, possibly, occurred adjournment of extraneous particles on a butterfly valve therefore it should be cleared.
If frequency of rotation of idling differs from nominal, adjust it by rotation of the screw of adjustment of turns of idling (SAS).

NOTE
If frequency of rotation of idling is higher nominal even at completely wrapped up screw of adjustment of turns of idling (SAS), check, whether paint on the screw emphasis of the lever of a butterfly valve («Fixed SAS», i.e. whether was carried out before its adjustment) is damaged. If paint is damaged, adjust position of the screw emphasis of the lever of a butterfly valve («Fixed SAS»).

Press the button "S" (Clear) of MUT-II to leave a mode «Аctuator test» (a mode of compulsory management of actuation mechanisms).

NOTE
If a mode «Аctuator test» not to cancel, compulsory management of actuation mechanisms (the servo-driver of a regulator of turns of idling) will proceed in a current of 27 minutes.

Turn the ignition key in the situation "OFF" ("VYKL".)
Disconnect MUT-II.
Get the engine and let's to it work idling about 10 mines then be convinced that operation of the engine idling corresponds to norm.

Check of pressure of fuel
Technical operations on the car
For prevention of a razbryzgivaniye of fuel pit residual pressure from the line of a high pressure of fuel.
Disconnect a flange of a fuel hose of a high pressure from a fuel collector.

ATTENTION
Cover a junction of a flange of a hose of a high pressure with a fuel collector rags to avoid a fuel razbryzgivaniye because of residual pressure in the line of a high pressure.

Technical operations on the car
Disconnect the coupling and perepuskny a bolt from the special tool (a hose of an adapter of MD 998709) and instead of them connect the special tool (an adapter of a hose of MD 998742). Twirl a manometer for measurement of pressure of fuel in the hose of an adapter collected earlier. Thus surely establish a suitable sealing ring (laying) between the union of a manometer and the special tool not to allow leakages of fuel.
Establish special. The tool between a fuel collector and a flange of a fuel hose of a high pressure.
By means of a wire to the crocodile socket connect
positive (+) the plug of the storage battery with a conclusion 2 contact service sockets of the fuel pump, as is shown in drawing, having included thereby the last. Check (in the presence of pressure in the line of a high pressure) absence of leakages of fuel in places of connections of a manometer and special tools.
For a stop of the fuel pump disconnect a wire with the crocodile socket from the storage battery.
Start the engine and let's to it work idling.
In engine operating time idling measure pressure of fuel.
Technical operations on the car
Nominal rate: about 265 kPas at base frequency of rotation of idling.
Disconnect a vacuum hose from a regulator of pressure of fuel, cover its opening with a finger and measure pressure.
Nominal rate: 324–343 kPas at base frequency of rotation of idling.
Check that pressure of fuel on a mode of idling does not fall even after several pressing an accelerator pedal.
Several times in a row pressing an accelerator pedal, slightly clamp a hose of return of fuel fingers to feel existence of pressure of fuel in a hose.

NOTE
If fuel consumption is small, in a hose of return of fuel will not be felt pressure.
If check of pressure of fuel any of results, do not correspond to norm, prospect malfunctions and eliminate them according to the mentioned below table.

Muffle the engine and check, whether there are changes in indications of a manometer of pressure of fuel.
The fuel system is serviceable, if pressure in the fuel highway does not decrease within 2 minutes. If pressure falls, prospect for malfunctions and its elimination in compliance with the table.
Pit residual pressure in the line of a high pressure of fuel.
Disconnect a manometer and the special tool from a fuel collector.

ATTENTION
Cover with rags of connection of a flange of a hose and an adapter to avoid a fuel razbryzgivaniye owing to existence of residual pressure of fuel in the line of a high pressure.

Replace ring sealing laying on a flange of a hose of a high pressure with the new. Before installation surely grease ring sealing laying by pure engine oil.
Establish a flange of a tube of a fuel hose of a high pressure in a fuel collector and tighten bolts of fastening of a flange the specified moment.
Inhaling moment: 5 N · m
Check absence of leakages of fuel.
For turning on of the fuel pump connect a conclusion of the service socket of the fuel pump with «+» the plug of the storage battery.
Check absence of leaks in the fuel highway when the last is under pressure.

Disconnect the socket of the sensor of a consumption of air.
Measure resistance between conclusions 5 and 6.
Nominal rate: 2,3–3,0 kiloohms (at 20°С); 0,30–0,42 kiloohms (at 80°С).
Measure resistance, heating up the sensor the hair dryer for drying of hair.

Working order
Technical operations on the car

If resistance does not correspond to nominal rate or it does not change depending on temperature, replace the sensor of a consumption of air.

ATTENTION
At removal and installation of the sensor do not touch with the tool its socket (a plastic part).

Lower a sensitive element of the sensor in hot water and measure resistance.
Nominal rate: 2,1–2,7 kiloohms (at 20 °C); 0,26–0,36 kiloohms (at 80 °C).
If value of resistance considerably differs from nominal, replace the sensor.

Put hermetic on a sensor carving.
Recommended hermetic: ZM NUT Locking Part No. 4171 or equivalent
Establish into place the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid and tighten it the specified moment.
Nominal moment of an inhaling: 30 N · m.
Connect the socket to the sensor.

Check of the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve (TPS)
Technical operations on the car
Disconnect the socket of the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve. Measure resistance between conclusions 1 and 4 sockets from the sensor.
Nominal rate of 3,5-6,5 kiloohms.
Measure resistance between a conclusion 2 and 4 sockets from the sensor.
Slowly open a butterfly valve from situation completely closed (idling) in the completely open. The sensor is serviceable, if resistance smoothly changes in proportion to a corner of opening of a butterfly valve.
If resistance derates nominal rates, or changes not smoothly, replace the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.

Disconnect the socket of the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.
Check a chain between conclusions 3 and 4 sockets from the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.

Working order

In case a condition of chains do not correspond specified above, replace the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.

NOTE
After replacement it is necessary to adjust the sensor of provision of a zaslonka and the sensor switch completely a butterfly valve closed position.

Check of the peredeny oxygen sensor

Disconnect the socket of the oxygen sensor and connect to the socket from the sensor the special tool (a plait of test wires).
Check that the chain between a conclusion 3 and a conclusion 4 sockets of the oxygen sensor is closed (resistance between conclusions equally 4,5–8,0 Ohm at 20 °C).
In case of break of a chain replace the oxygen sensor.
Warm up the engine to temperature of cooling liquid of 80 °C or above.
By means of wires with crocodile sockets connect a conclusion 3 sockets of the oxygen sensor to «+» to the plug of the storage battery, and a conclusion 4 – to «–» the battery plug.

ATTENTION
Be very attentive at connection of wires with crocodile sockets to plugs of the storage battery (do not mix polarity); the wrong connection of wires can lead to damage of the oxygen sensor.

Connect the digital (electronic) voltmeter to conclusions 1 and 2. Periodically pressing an accelerator pedal, measure target tension of the oxygen sensor.

Disconnect the socket of the oxygen sensor and connect to it from the sensor the special tool (a plait of test wires).
Check that the chain between conclusions 3 and 4 sockets of the oxygen sensor is closed (resistance between conclusions equally 11–18 Ohm at 20 °C).
In case the chain is opened, replace the oxygen sensor.

NOTE
If MUT-II does not show nominal rates though during aforementioned check of chains it was not revealed malfunctions, replace the oxygen sensor (back).

Resistance change between conclusions of nozzles

Disconnect the socket from a nozzle.
Measure resistance between conclusions.
Nominal rate: 13–16 Ohm (at 20 °C).
Connect the nozzle socket.

According to nizheukazanny procedure pit residual pressure from the fuel highway not to allow razbryzgivany fuels.
Remove a nozzle.
Collect the special tool (a set for nozzle check), an adapter, a regulator of pressure and clips, as is shown in drawing.
Bring tension of the storage battery to a conclusion No. 2 of the three-contact service socket of the fuel pump, as is shown in drawing, and turn on the fuel pump.
Activate a nozzle and check quality распыла fuels from a nozzle.
Nozzle condition satisfactory if the nozzle gives normal распыл.

Disconnect wires from conclusions of sockets of a nozzle and check tightness (a spray and a locking needle) nozzles.
Norm: 1 drop or is less within a minute
Connect wires from accumulator plugs to nozzle conclusions, not including the fuel pump. Then, after the termination распыла fuels from a nozzle, disconnect the special tool, establish a nozzle in an initial condition.

Check of the servo-driver of a regulator of turns of idling (step-by-step electric motor; ISC) (check on existence of a sound of the working step-by-step electric motor)

Check, that the temperature of cooling liquid was 20°С or below.

NOTE
Also it is allowed to disconnect the socket of the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid and to connect to the socket from a plait of wires other sensor of temperature of the cooling liquid, 20 °C having temperature. A detachment and connection of the electric socket make at the switched-off ignition).

Check, whether the sound of the working step-by-step electric motor is audible after the key was turned ignitions in the situation "ON" ("VKL"; without starting the engine).
If sound of the working step-by-step electric motor it is not audible, check chains of windings of a stator of the electric motor.
If in chains of malfunction it is not revealed, that, possibly, there was a malfunction in the servo-driver of a regulator of turns of idling (the step-by-step electric motor) or in the electronic control unit the engine.

Check of resistance of windings

Disconnect the socket of a regulator of turns of idling and connect the special tool (a plait of test wires).
Measure resistance between a conclusion 2 (a white clip) and a conclusion 1 (a red clip), and then and a conclusion 3 (a blue clip) from the socket of a regulator of turns of idling.
Nominal rate: 28–33 Ohm (at 20 °C).
Measure resistance between a conclusion 5 (a green clip) and a conclusion 6 (a yellow clip), and then and a conclusion 4 (a black clip) the socket of a regulator of turns of idling.
Nominal rate: 28–33 Ohm (at 20 °C).
