3.2.1. Check of level of liquid in an automatic transmission

Warm up an automatic transmission to temperature of working liquid of 70-80 °C.

Make measurement of temperature of ATF by means of MUT II/III.

If for warming up of a transmission rather long time is necessary, determine level of working liquid by the table providing level of liquid at this temperature to temperature of liquid of 70-80 °C.
Establish the car on an equal horizontal platform.
Move the selector lever to all provisions on purpose as much as possible to load the hydrotransformer and to fill with oil hydraulic lines.
After dirt deleting around щупа, check level of working liquid in a transmission. Level of liquid should be between «Mах» labels щупа.

If ATF has a burned smell or became excessively dirty, it means that ATF is polluted by the smallest particles products of wear of details of a transmission. In this case it is necessary to make repair of a transmission and to wash out hydraulic lines and an oil radiator.

Check, whether there is a liquid level between marks in «HOT» inscription (hot), put on щупе. If ATF level excessively low, add necessary quantity.
Liquid for an automatic transmission: DIA QUEEN ATF SPIII.

If level of the AKP working liquid is excessively low, in operating time the oil pump can tighten air in system, and in oil there will be air bubbles. It will lead to pressure decrease of working liquid, change of phases of gear shifting and a proskalzyvaniye of frictional disks. If level of working liquid is excessively high, there will be its foaming from for contact to mobile elements of a transmission that can lead to problems, as well as at excessively low level of ATF. Otherwise there can be an overheat and liquid oxidation that will negatively affect operation of valves, friction clutches and brakes. Also raised level of ATF can lead to its leak through сопун that can complicate malfunction diagnostics.
