3.3. Coupling




Coupling

Coupling

On cars from mechanical KP establish one-disk dry coupling with the slips which are not containing asbestos, and a two-mass flywheel. Management of coupling is carried out by means of a hydraulic actuator. Cars from automatic KP are equipped with hydraulic multidisk coupling.
In use coupling service is not required: at work worn-out parts of slips are leveled. Replacement of a conducted disk of coupling needs to be carried out approximately through 100 000 km, however it in many respects depends on modes of loading of the car.
Depending on model of the engine and transmission type the design of coupling can change a little.

Flywheel
The flywheel is rigidly connected to cranked shaft of the engine. The two-mass flywheel by means of spring демпферной systems provides the maximum clearing of krutilny fluctuations.

Conducted and press disks
The conducted disk is established on primary to a transmission shaft. From both parties to it приклепаны slips.
Press the disk through a diafrag-menny spring and a casing of coupling is rigidly connected to a flywheel. Press the disk serves for pressing of a conducted disk to a flywheel. The surface of a press disk is processed by anticorrosive structure. When cleaning a press disk it is necessary to process only its working surface – so you prolong coupling service life.

Bearing of switching off of coupling
The bearing of switching off of coupling provides release of a conducted disk from conducting by pressing a coupling pedal.

Air removal from a hydraulic drive of coupling

ATTENTION
Use only the specified brake liquid. Do not mix brake liquids.

Brake liquid: DOT 3 or DOT 4.
Remove the top extension of a forward suspension bracket.
Disconnect a collar of a brake tube and remove the main brake cylinder without disconnecting brake tubes.
Coupling
Connect a hose with a bottle to the union for air removal.
Open the final union.
Slowly press a coupling pedal. Unscrew the union for air removal to let the air out and brake liquid. Wrap the union for air removal. Release a coupling pedal. Repeat until the union will not leave brake liquid without air vials.
Watch that liquid level was in a tank of a hydraulic actuator of brake system between «MAX» and «MIN» labels during all process of removal of air of a coupling hydraulic actuator.

Air removal from the working cylinder of coupling
Brake liquid: DOT 3 or DOT 4.

Connect a hose with a bottle to the union for air removal.
Open the final union.
Slowly press a coupling pedal. Unscrew the union for air removal to let the air out and brake liquid. Wrap the union for air removal. Release a coupling pedal. Repeat until the union will not leave brake liquid without air vials.
Watch that liquid level was in a tank of a hydraulic actuator of brake system between "MAX" and "MIN" labels during all process of removal of air of a coupling hydraulic actuator.
