Height of a pedal of a brake
Check and adjustment of a pedal of a brake
Take out a rug from under a brake pedal.
Measure height of provision of a pedal as is shown in drawing. If the measured height does not correspond to nominal rate, it is necessary to execute the following operations.
Nominal size: 160–168 mm or more.
Disconnect the socket of the switch of stoplights.
Check and adjustment of a pedal of a brake
Unscrew a lock-nut of a pusher and, rotating a pusher in this or that party by means of passatizhy, adjust necessary height of an arrangement of a pedal over a floor.
Tighten a pusher lock-nut.
Check and adjustment of a pedal of a brake
Push the stoplight switch in the direction of a course of a pedal against the stop. (The switch moves by strong pressing).
Lift a pedal before complete promotion of a pusher, and then move the switch of stoplights in demanded situation. Rotating the switch, adjust its situation so that the gap corresponded shown in drawing.

Connect the switch socket.
Be convinced of that lamps of stoplights do not burn at not pressed pedal of a brake.

Free wheeling of a pedal of a brake
At the idle engine press a brake pedal two or three times. After depression removal from the vacuum amplifier of brakes press a pedal a hand and be convinced that pedal moving prior to the beginning of resistance (free wheeling) is in an optimum range.
Nominal size: 3–8 mm.
If the free wheeling of a pedal of a brake exceeds nominal rate, that, possibly, there is a raised gap in connection of the lever of a pedal of a brake with an arm of fastening of a pedal. Check a gap and replace the damaged details if necessary.

Clean a rug, etc. from under a brake pedal.
Start the engine, press a brake pedal with strength about 490 N, and measure distance between a pedal of a brake and a floor.
Nominal size: 100 mm or are more
If the distance does not correspond to nominal rate, check availability of air in the brake highway, distance between overlays of brake shoes and a drum, and operation of the parking brake.
Adjust or replace faulty details if necessary.
Establish a rug into place.

Connect to the switch of stoplights a universal tester and check a chain of the switch of stoplights at the pressed and not pressed pusher. If a pusher to press so that its length made 4 mm from a case end face, at the serviceable switch the chain should be opened, and at not pressed pusher – is closed.

Simple check of operation of the vacuum amplifier of brakes is made in the way described below.
Start the engine for one-two minutes and muffle it.
If by the first pressing a brake pedal it is squeezed out against the stop, and by the subsequent pressing its course gradually decreases, the vacuum amplifier works normally. If by consecutive pressing a pedal its course remains invariable, the vacuum amplifier of brakes is faulty.
At the idle engine press several times a brake pedal. Then, without releasing a pedal, start the engine. If the brake pedal slightly fell, the vacuum amplifier is serviceable. If after engine start the pedal remained on a place, the vacuum amplifier is faulty.
At the working engine press a pedal of a brake and then switch off the engine.
Hold a pedal pressed during 30 pages. If thus the provision of a pedal does not change, the vacuum amplifier is serviceable. If the pedal rises, the amplifier is faulty. If results of one of the carried-out checks appeared unsatisfactory, it is necessary to look for malfunction in a vacuum hose, the return valve or the amplifier of brakes.
