6.3.5. Removal and installation of disk brakes

Installation of a disk brake in collecting (a forward brake)
To measure effort of resistance to rotation after installation of brake shoes, at first measure resistance to rotation of the bearing of a nave of a wheel with the removed brake shoes.
Remove a shaft of a drive of a wheel.
Establish the special tool on a nave of a forward wheel assembled as is shown in drawing, and tighten it the set moment.
Inhaling moment: 196–255 N · m.
Use a spring dynamometer for measurement of resistance to rotation of the bearing of a nave of a wheel with the removed brake shoes (in the advance direction).

Back brake
Use a spring dynamometer for measurement of resistance to rotation of the bearing of a nave of a wheel with the removed brake shoes (in the advance direction).
After support installation on a rotary fist, establish directing blocks and a block on a support bracket.

ATTENTION
Do not allow pollution of a brake disk or frictional surfaces of blocks oil, konsistentny greasing or other extraneous materials.

Clear the piston and insert it into the cylinder by means of the special tool.
Be careful, that a protective cover of the piston has not a snack when lowering support assembled, and tighten directing finger the set moment.
Inhaling moment: 74 N · m.
Start the engine and then press a pedal of a brake 2–3 times.
Stop the engine.
Turn a brake disk forward 10 times.
Use a spring dynamometer for measurement of effort of resistance to rotation after installation of brake shoes (in the advance direction).
Calculate increase in effort of resistance to rotation.
Nominal size: 69 N or are less.
If the increase in effort of resistance to rotation exceeds nominal size, disassemble the piston and clear it. Check it on existence of corrosion or wear of a cuff of the piston, and check, smoothness of moving of the top and bottom directing fingers.
