Dismantling and assembly of a disk brake

ATTENTION
The sealing ring and boot of the piston are covered from within special консисентнои with greasing therefore do not wipe this konsistentny greasing.

The main operations on dismantling
When dismantling disk brakes make dismantling from both parties of the car (left and right) – as a set.

Removal of a protective cover and piston
Dismantling and assembly of a disk brake
Cover with a rag the support case. For removal of a boot and the piston direct the compressed air to an opening of a brake hose.

ATTENTION
Force the compressed air gradually.

Removal of a sealing ring of the piston
Dismantling and assembly of a disk brake
Remove a sealing ring of the piston a finger nail.

ATTENTION
To prevention of damage of an internal surface of the wheel brake cylinder do not apply a flat screw-driver or other tool.

Wash out piston and cylinder surfaces trikhloretileny, alcohol or the recommended brake liquid.
Applied brake liquid: DOT3 or DOT4.

Installation of the top and bottom directing fingers
Dismantling and assembly of a disk brake
Establish directing fingers according to labels («G» or «L») on fingers and the support case.
Check the cylinder on existence of wear, damage or corrosion.
Check a piston surface on existence of wear, damage or corrosion.
Check the case of a support or the plug on wear existence.
Check absence of damages or a zamaslivaniye on overlays of brake shoes, and also absence of damages on metal bases of blocks.
