7.2.2. Power failure check on a wire, connecting a tokovy conclusion of the generator with the storage battery


This test is carried out for definition of a condition of a connecting wire between a conclusion "In" the generator and the positive plug of the storage battery (including a fusible insert).
Before implementation of this test check the following.
– Generator fastenings
– Tension of a driving belt.
– Fusible insert.
– Existence of the extraneous noise proceeding from the generator at operation of the engine.
Turn a key of the lock of ignition in the situation "LOCK" it ("is SWITCHED OFF").
Disconnect a negative wire from the storage battery.
Connect the hinged ampermeter of a direct current with a range of measurements 0-120 And to a wire between a conclusion "In" the generator and the storage battery.

ATTENTION
Connection of the ordinary ampermeter in a rupture of a chain is possible in case electric contact between a conclusion "In" the generator and that wire will not be broken.

Connect the digital voltmeter between a conclusion "In" the generator and a positive conclusion of the storage battery. [Connect a positive measuring wire of the voltmeter to a conclusion "In" the generator, and a negative measuring wire – to a positive conclusion of the storage battery.
Connect a negative wire to the storage battery.
Connect a tachometer or the diagnostic MUT-II/III device.
During carrying out dough the cowl of the car should be open.
Start the engine.
At frequency of rotation of 2500 mines-1 include headlights and other light devices. Achieve that the value of a current measured by the ampermeter, made a little more than 30 And.
Smoothly reduce frequency of rotation of the engine until the current will not appear equal 30 A.Snimite pokazaniya of the voltmeter.
Limiting allowed value: no more than 0,3 Century.

ATTENTION
If value of a current of return of the generator is great and it is not possible to lower it to 30 And, establish value of a current of 40 A.Snimite pokazaniya of the voltmeter. At a current 40 And limiting allowed value of power failure makes 0,4 Century.

If value of power failure exceeds the specified values, the tokovy wire of the generator is faulty. In this case it is necessary to check a condition of that wire of the generator from a conclusion "In" to the positive plug of the storage battery (including a fusible insert).
If tips of a wire are not strongly tightened or appreciable traces of an oplavleniye of isolation, it is necessary to make regenerative repair and to repeat check.
After check release an accelerator pedal.
Switch off all light devices.
Switch off ignition.
Disconnect a tachometer or the diagnostic MUT-II/III device.
Disconnect a negative wire from the storage battery.
Disconnect the ampermeter and the voltmeter.
Connect a negative wire to the storage battery.
