The spark category occurs at big tension, duration of the category is small.
Cause of defect – the spark gap is too great.

Example 2

The spark category occurs at low tension, the back front – flat, duration of the category is great. The final phase of the category is distorted. At such form of a signal admissions of ignition of a working mix are possible.
Cause of defect – the spark gap is too small.
